Motif "Target"

Pattern "Target"

About the pattern:
Marketed for the first time in the 60s, this design has many names such as Plaque-Plaque, Target or Nsu Bura (which means water well in Ghana). The meaning of the message is: everything you do, positive or negative, will have consequences for everyone around you.

This design also bears other names such as Consulaire, Gbédjégan (denotes a traditional royal straw hat in Togo), and Gbedze, from the name of the hat worn daily to protect oneself from the sun. In Nigeria, this pattern is called Record because of the circular shape of the pattern, reminiscent of old vinyl records sold to many customers and dealers.
