Motif "Conseiller" / "Macaroni"

Pattern "Advisor" / "Macaroni"

The motif is called "Advisor", "Macaroni" or "Something good happened to me this year". This design is very popular and is named under various names depending on the country. In Côte d'Ivoire, this drawing is called "Advisor" or "Small Council". Indeed, at the time of its launch, Ivorian women used to advise their daughters on romantic relationships.

In Benin and Togo, on the other hand, this fabric is called Macaroni, because its patterns recall the shape of macaroni. In Ghana, the motif literally refers to the expression "Something good happened to me this year", it is the prerogative of young mothers fulfilled by the birth of a child. This pattern is one of the timeless classics!
